Arts Collective is an Alberta based organization dedicated to supporting local artists, increasing visibility and assisting in their online marketing and sales.

Beginnings…
Why? You may be asking… the answer is fairly simple yet, for some reason, many question or at least have a difficult time believing it. The truth is, we believe in local art and artists and simply want to support them in the best way we can. With our company roots as a website developer, we knew that we could provide a viable solution to artists without breaking the bank and still ensure they get good, quality representation.
In discussions with many local artists we heard several stories of artists struggling to be heard or have places to show and/or sell their artwork. Naturally, many artists had developed their own websites in order to attempt to reach more collectors and clients but the time and cost to develop and maintain a basic eCommerce site ate into their profits and simply continued to perpetuate the ‘starving artist’ lifestyle that no artist wants to live within.
With our discussions in mind, in early 2023 we developed a plan to create a low-cost or even free resource for artists to both show their work and sell it to a wider audience. Out of this ArtsCollective.ca was born.
Future Vision…
Our initial ArtsCollective.ca website has been created to be simple and easy to navigate.
Step 1) …is to create the site you see now and promote it as a place to join and be found (for no charge) among local and area artists.
Step 2) …we encourage our site members to submit several pieces so that we can actively promote and sell to a new collective market.
Step 3) …we ask our members to promote ArtsCollective.ca within their online and in-person networks and circles
Step 4) …we grow the site as needed, keeping our main focus on our purpose… working together and helping each other grow. 🙂
